During our summer retreat in May 2023, Robert Schmidt was elected as new speaker of our Research Training Group by the faculty members. We congratulate Robert and look forward to continuing our work with him in his new role. Robert holds the Professorship for Process-Oriented Sociology at the KU Eichstätt-Ingolstadt and has been a member of “Practicing Place” from the beginning.
At the same time, we would like to thank Kerstin Schmidt, our former speaker, for her work and efforts for our group. She is now chair of American Literature at the University of Munich. We congratulate her and wish her all the best for her new position!
