Recordings from our final conference \u201cPractices of Imagination \u2013 Placings of Imaginaries<\/a>\u201d are now available on our <\/span>YouTube channel<\/b><\/a>. The conference was held February 7-10, 2024 in Eichst\u00e4tt.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Click <\/span>here<\/b><\/a> to find a recording of the keynote lecture by Prof. Dr. Hannes Kr\u00e4mer titled \u201cThe Borders of Tomorrow: Imagining the Futures of Europe\u2019s Margins,\u201d our practitioners panel \u201cLife as Raw Material\u201d with documentary director Eva Stotz, as well as our second practitioners panel \u201cLove 2075: Building archetypes of romantic love using speculative design framework\u201d with user experience designers Markandeya Kunchi, Shreyas More and Shrey Malik from Frog Design Studios.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hannes Kr\u00e4mer is Professor for Institutional Communications at the University of Duisburg-Essen. In his talk, Hannes Kr\u00e4mer delves into the intricate landscape of European borders, focusing on the role of Frontex, the European Border and Coast Guard Agency, in shaping and anticipating the future of European borders. He explores various perspectives on border future imagination, the role of temporality, and the relationship between inner and outer European borders. In her talk titled \u201cLife as Raw Material,\u201c film director Eva Stotz talks about her film \u201cSollbruchstelle\u201d (engl. \u201cThe Devil Hides in Doubt\u201d) from 2008, which explores complex relationships to labor, as well as her film project \u201cField Trip,\u201d focused on exploring non-linear forms of storytelling. In dialogue with the audience, Eva Stotz discusses capturing a zeitgeist, the documentary genre, and different methods of storytelling. User experience designers Markandeya Kunchi, Shreyas More, and Shrey Malik from Frog Design Studios present their project: \u201cLove 2075: Building archetypes of romantic love using speculative design framework\u201d. They explore notions of envisioning the future of romantic love through speculative design research. Markandeya, Shreyas, and Shrey discuss behavioral archetypes and the design and development of a speculative story of romantic love in 2075. This imagination centers possible future developments in technology and its impact on human interaction. You can find the recording <\/span>here<\/b>.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n
